Top small business group endorses Chris Forster for Connecticut House District 21

FARMINGTON, CONN – Connecticut’s chapter of the nation’s leading small business association has endorsed accomplished government finance professional Chris Forster for House District 21 in the Connecticut General Assembly.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Connecticut SAFE Trust (Save America’s Free Enterprise) endorsed Forster, a Republican, for his commitment to the needs thousands of Main Street small businesses and their employees all across Connecticut.

“Like me, small businesses want to change the General Assembly’s anti-business, tax-and-spend attitude and see policies that free small businesses up to help grow Connecticut’s economy,” Forster said. “I am thrilled to have NFIB’s endorsement because its values are very similar to our campaign’s vision for better jobs, a stronger economy and more fiscal responsibility in Hartford.” Forster is running for House District 21, which includes Farmington and Unionville.

About Chris Forster

Forster, 32, is controller for the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities. He is running for the General Assembly following his overwhelming election last year to the Farmington Zoning Board of Appeals.

Forster, who holds a Certificate in Public Financial Management, is active in several community groups, serving as board member for the Exchange Club and commissioner for the Unionville Historic District Commission. He and his wife, Dr. Jessica Forster, a veterinarian, live in Unionville with their daughter, Delilah.

After earning a bachelor’s in economics and political science and a master of public administration degree from the University of Connecticut, Forster held senior finance positions in city and state government in Oklahoma, where he and Jessica moved so she could earn her doctorate at Oklahoma State University. They returned to Connecticut to raise their family and settled in Unionville for the area’s historic charm, high quality town services, nationally recognized school system and fiscally responsible government.
